Videos for My Liberal In-laws

If only my Quaker in-laws would watch these videos:

"Hope [and] Change Liberals Protest Obama, So Why Aren't They Called Racists Like the Tea Party?"
(Uh-oh, an Af. Am. tea party member. BTW, I'm not a tea partyer, but I have their tendencies.)

"Afterburner: The Truth Is Out There"

"Andrew Klavan: The Facts of Life for Liberals" (Where does money come from?)

  1. Liberals who protest Obama aren't called racist because they don't fly Confederate flags, make jokes about the "Blackhouse," or pretend that Obama isn't a citizen.

There are lots more examples too, if you LOOK FOR THEM they are really obvious.

  2. So, how about the liberals (Democrats) who were actually, documented (even on Burns' "Prohibition"), racists? You know, those for segregation/Jim crow/black slavery?

Why are non-liberals for H. Cain? He's fully black.

    Talk about stereotyping.

What about the non-liberals who don't use the examples you've got?

There are Dutchman who are racist, does that make you racist?

Labeling only allows people to ignore the message of the one(s) labeled.

  3. Gerry, Gerry, Gerry ....

Are you from overseas? In 1919, when Prohibition was put in place, both the Democrats and Republicans had liberal and conservative wings. Theodore Bilbo, for instance, was a conservative (and racist) Democrat from Mississipi, while Bob LaFollete was a self indentified "Progressive Republican." Since then there have been some realignments. The progressive Republicans came over to the Democrats en masse during the New Deal (e.g. Harold Ickes, Henry Wallace) and then after Johnson signed a series of civl rights bills in the 1960's, Southern (and many Northern) racists moved over to the Republicans (e.g. Strom Thurmond). If you had studied American history, you would have known that.

As for H. Cain, isn't he kind of an "Uncle Tom?" You know, a token black that Republicans like to trot out so they can pretend that they are not really racist, but then either fail to support (like Alan Keyes) or betray and undercut (like Colin Powel). The only black that Republicans have ever trusted with real power was Clarence Thomas, probably because he is a total corporate shill.

And what about the "non-liberals who don't use the examples you've got?" Well they might NOT be racist. But for sure, ANYONE who flies a Confederate flag, makes jokes about the "Blackhouse," or pretends that Obama isn't a citizen IS a racist.

  4. I'm not from overseas. Are you from overseas Dutchman?

See these links from here 1 and here 2 (and here 3 and here 4).

"As for H. Cain, isn't he kind of an 'Uncle Tom?'"

No, Herman Cain is a self made man (with the Grace of God) who wants to use his actually successful experience in Business (etc) to help the country. He's no Uncle Tom; only the socialist media female dogs want to make him out to be one. See here 5 at 0:44.

"But for sure, ANYONE who flies a Confederate flag, makes jokes about the 'Blackhouse,' or pretends that Obama isn't a citizen IS a racist."

Well, I sort of agree, in general; there may be some of the above who are not racist. The blackhouse may be black due to the abortion death policies of Obama; some who fly conf. flags may just really like the South for KFC or something. I was one of the "birthers", but I never pretended that Obama wasn't a citizen, I just wanted to see proof that he was a citizen to meet the US Const. requirement (rule of law).

  5. Parties chance over time, understand? In 1900 the Republicans were the party of the North, of high terriffs, and of trust busting, while the Democrats were the party of the West and the South, of farmers and prohibitionists, and of segregationists. None of these statements are true today. It is a FACT that when the Democrats were the party of segregation, white Southern voters were predominantly Democratic, but then Lyndon Johnson pushed through numerous civil rights laws and today most white Southerners vote Republican. Do the math: it only adds up one way.

So what if Herman Cain is a "self-made man," he has no more chance of winning the Republican nomination than Allan Keyes.

Don't think you're kidding anyone about the Confederate flag being anything other than a banner of racism. Saying that it is a symbol of "Southern heritage" is about on par with saying the swastika isn't a racist symbol either.

Abortion huh? I don't remember anyone calling it the "Blackhouse" when pro-abort Clinton was in it. Did I miss something?

And I suppose one could be a "birther" and not be a racist, but only if one were a gullible idiot.

Y'know, I just got back from the "Occupy LaSalle Street" protest, and I didn't see one Confederate flag or hear any nonsense about the "Blackhouse" or the birth certificate. Despite detesting Obama's right-wing policies, those protesters don't attack his race.

  6. "Parties chance over time, understand?"

Yes. (I assume you meant "change".)

"In 1900 the Republicans were the party of the North, of high terriffs, and of trust busting, while the Democrats were the party of the West and the South, of farmers and prohibitionists, and of segregationists. There are many issues besides race that come into the equation. It seems that the most racially conscious people are the ones who decry racism. They just don't usually fly banners.

Re. LBJ, it was the Rep. congress that made the Civil Rights Act possible. LBJ got some Dem.s to vote for it, but LBJ was just the figurehead of the bill (unfortunately for Repub. now).

"So what if Herman Cain is a 'self-made man,' he has no more chance of winning the Republican nomination than Allan Keyes."

Keyes never got the numbers that Cain has now. Plus, the (Af. Am.) Dem. would more likely vote for Cain (100% Af. Am.) now since there are now 2 ~ Af. Am. candidates.

"Don't think you're kidding anyone about the Confederate flag being anything other than a banner of racism. So, if there is a doubt about meeting the requirements of the Constitution to be US Pres., one should just shrug it off? I support the US Const., so many "birthers" like myself simply wanted proof that the rule of law was satisfied.

"Y'know, I just got back from the 'Occupy LaSalle Street' protest, and I didn't see one Confederate flag or hear any nonsense about the 'Blackhouse' or the birth certificate. Despite detesting Obama's right-wing policies, those protesters don't attack his race."

Many of the occupy * street people are Atheists who hate religion and/or religious people. Should I not listen to their positions even though some of them would hate someone like me? Ever read about the French Revolution? Atheists on an irrational rampage. (American Revolution: Protestant Christians on a rational mission)

  7. The main point of the Zonation video was that even though no Conf. flag or other symbol was used by people who protest against Obama in public (liberal or conservative), they are assumed to be racist. Did you watch the video?

In a similar manner, it's not the case that I should assume that all occupy * street protesters are Atheist who would want to sterilize me (or make me only have one child). (It's sort of an inverse irrational generalization.)

  8. The "Occupy" mavement has stated that they are opposed to the excesses of finance capitalism. That's the sum total of their program. Am I to take it then that your religion is finance capitalism?

Talk about racist. Not that they (you) all are.

(I'll respond to your comments later.)

"These protesters have a pretty good idea of who they hate. Rich people." ... [video attached to post]

Huh? The movement has spoken? My impression is that they're more like non-unified cats (cats analogy per Dawkins) that have no central spokesperson. Do they have a spokesperson?

My Religion ≠ finance capitalism. I have no relationship with finance capitalism, it's not a person, only a tool. My Religion = Way of growing a relationship with God and other people.
